Back on the schedule of the World Series of Poker is a major charity poker event

The year 2014 will see the return of the USD 1 million Big One for Oner Drop event

The Big One for One Drop charity event of the World Series of Poker with a buy-in of USD 1 million, taking place in Las Vegas, saw Antonio Esfandiari, the winning poker professional, winning the amount of USD 18,346,673, and as the founder Guy Laliberte states, the return of the event next year will see the winner taking home USD 20 million.

The return of the big charity competition has been announced by Laliberte in 2014 as part of the event World Series of Poker.

?It was a great event in 2012 with the event One Drop raising the amount of almost USD 5.7 millin from the Big One,? revealed Laliberte.

?A lot of work still awaits to be done to ensure everyone is given access. I am left with no doubt that the community of poker players will once more live up to its generous reputations by offering help to sustainably transform lives.?

From the generated prize pool a certain percentage is allocated to provide access to clean water to th struggling countries of the third world.

The One Drop entry field of next year will be with a cap of 56 players. It is scheduled to begin from the 29 of June at Caesars Palace and end on the first of July with a final table which will be televised. Some 16 to 20 per cent of the participants in the field with receive cash awards calculated on a sliding scale.

The Big One for One Drop of 2012 was with a cap of 48 players and it was sold out.
